How does the sterilization equipment in water treatment work?

Water treatment system is an essential line of defence to remove contaminants and bacteria before the delivery of clean, potable water supplies for consumption. Today we are talking about the sterilization equipment in water treatment system mainly used in water treatment plant.

(1) Ozone sterilizer 

The ozone sterilizer uses the strong oxidizing properties of ozone to achieve the purpose of sterilization. Ozone is a strong oxygen agent. Its bactericidal effect is 15-30 times higher than that of chlorine. When it acts for 5-10min at a certain concentration, ozone can sterilize various fungi. It is common to apply sterilization in the production of mineral water and pure water to deodorize and decolorize, etc.

(2) Ultraviolet sterilizer 

When microorganisms are irradiated by ultraviolet light, their proteins and nucleic acids absorb energy in the ultraviolet spectrum, which leads to protein denaturation and the death of microorganisms. Ultraviolet rays have a certain ability to penetrate clean and transparent water, so it can disinfect the water. Ultraviolet sterilization can not change the physical and chemical properties of water it has fast sterilization speed, high efficiency and no peculiar smell, so it is widely used.
